ACID PEELING COURSE

This training course provides the clinical knowledge and practical skills required to perform light to medium-grade chemical skin peels using various acids. The training covers superficial AHA/BHA acid formulations alongside advanced medium-grade TCA peels, enabling therapists to address complex skin conditions such as pigmentation, acne, scarring, lines, and sun damage across all skin types.

Class Size: Intimate group training (Maximum of 2 students)

Schedule Options: Day (10:00 AM – 2:30 PM) or Evening (5:00 PM – 9:30 PM)

Entry Requirements: NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent qualification)

Anatomy, Physiology & Health Safety: Understanding skin structure, cellular renewal, hygiene standards, and salon safety protocols.

Peeling Agents & Applied Chemistry: Analysis of different acids, pH scale mechanics, percentage strengths, intended depths of penetration, and modes of action.

Skin Typing: Evaluating diverse skin types using the Fitzpatrick skin classification scale.

Clinical Protocol & Safety:

Consultation & Consent: Conducting thorough consultations, client card documentation, informed consent procedures, and contraindications/contra-actions.

Treatment Execution: Preparation of the work area, pre-treatment skin analysis, practical hands-on application of AHA, BHA, and medium-grade TCA peels, and combining peels with other aesthetic services.

Pre & Post-Care Advice: Aftercare protocols to ensure optimal healing, downtime management, and long-term results.

Business Development:
Supplier Knowledge: Guidance on where to source equipment, chemical peel solutions, and starter kits.
