This foundational facial training course provides the essential theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical skills required to deliver professional, non-medical facial treatments. Designed for beginners or therapists looking to learn or refresh their skills, it covers fundamental skincare protocols, manual massage techniques, and core salon treatments.

  • Skin Anatomy & Physiology: Understanding skin structure, skin types (dry, oily, combination, sensitive), skin conditions, and the natural aging process.

  • Cleanliness, Safety & Hygiene: Infection control, sterilization of equipment, drape setup, and maintaining a professional treatment environment.

  • Client Consultation & Skin Analysis: Conducting thorough client consultations, identifying contraindications, determining skin types, and recommending tailored treatment plans.

  • Core Facial Steps & Techniques:

    • Cleansing & Toning: Correct techniques to prepare and refresh the skin.

    • Exfoliation: Application of mechanical and enzymatic scrubs to remove dead skin cells.

    • Steaming & Extraction: Techniques for opening pores and safely removing impurities.

    • Facial Massage: Classic Swedish facial massage movements to boost circulation and lymphatic drainage.

    • Mask Application: Customizing and applying setting/non-setting masks for specific skin concerns.

  • Aftercare & Product Advice: Guiding clients on home skincare routines and recommending suitable retail products.

Certification & Progression:

  • Prerequisites: None (suitable for beginners).

  • Outcome: Validates practitioners to safely perform standard facial treatments, work in salons or spas, or progress to advanced Level 4/5 aesthetic courses.
